I too am new.  I just joined the forum today and my surgery is tomorrow.  I do not know anyone who has had the surgery and would love to get in contact with other people near me.  I am nervous and would enjoy talking to people after I return home.  I picked a tough week (Thanksgiving) to have the surgery, but knew it would be a time when family would be near.  My family is very supportive, but like me do not have first hand experience with this surgery.   My surgery is here in Baton Rouge, so anyone out there in the area?

hi everyone i live in erath louisiana but i am haveing my surgery on dec 5th in new orleans for insurence reason. if anyone needs to talk just get in touch with me. it seems like alot of us is going through the same things at the same time. thanks

Hey i am not in louisana but i am from louisana and every chance i get i go to new orleans and lafayette that's where my mom stays and my mother-in- law stays in new orleans. my husband is in the military and were in oklahoma right now i would love to be your friend. i hoping to get banded during the christmas break . my next consult with the Dr. is 12/18 i went on 11/18 and he told me i needed to lose 15lbs and stop smoking and when i came back on 12/18 we eill be ready to set a date. i've been on this protein diet since nov.23 and been har but in the end victory will be mine.LOL
